Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99. As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS’ master plan–and each other–they discover that key KAOS operative Siegfried and his sidekick Shtarker are scheming to cash in with their network of terror. Apparently, some Hindus are not to happy about this movie because they feel it mocks them. Over 5,000 people signed an online petition to protest the release of the film.  I guess it did not work since it came out today.I can see their point of view.As far as I know Mike Myers is not Hindu. By Christianity being the dominant religion here it’s hard as it is for minority religions. I believe churches would protest if the Hindus got together and made a comedy about Jesus. I have not seen the movie so I can not really say much. I wish Mike Myers would have responded so that he could at least reaasure them that he was not trying to make fun.

In the Washington Post, Hindu Chaplan Rajan Zedi wrote,” In order to have more information, I urged Paramount Pictures to pre-screen the movie for us and they promised in March, “ Other religions also joined him. But, when it was time for the movie to be finished Paramount started ignoring them. This even got the other religion leaders to support them. They even “signed a appeal titled Clergy’s Appeal to Paramount Pictures”.

The person Mike Myers character is kind of based on does not have a problem with the movie. Check it out

I think Get Smart is going to win. Plus I really like Anne Hathaway so I have to see it her movie. The Love Guru just did not catch my attention.
