As you all know it is election time. This is my first time voting and I am so confused. I personally do not not like either candidates. My family has already said I will be a sell out if I do not vote for Obama. I really do not care because in the end I have to do what I think is best for me. I doubt I will come to a decision until it is time to vote. It is like this election is just taking a toll on everyone. People are upset if you do not agree with their beliefs. I grew up as a democrat and really did not like republicans. I always thought something was wrong with being a republican. But, this year a lot has happened and I started to see both parties in a different light. Their are things I like about both and things I do not like. I just hate seeing democrats talking bad about republicans and vice versa. Why people can not accept that everyone is different? Who cares how many houses you have? If I could afford it I would have a couple and would not be ashamed. If I worked hard why should I be?

Some black people feel like it is hard to make it in the white world. I am tired of hearing that excuse. I know racism still exist but I am not going to sit around and complain. I am going to do something about it. I am in college right now and I do not plan to let anything or anyone stand in my way of making it to the top. I am not trying to be mean or think I am better than everyone. I am just giving my opinion. I can talk a lot on this subject but I will stop here.

Back to what I am suppose to be talking about the election. I think in the end I will be able to choose the best person. I always get a gut feeling about things that end up being right. If my family thinks I am a sell out so what. My momma do not think I am and that is all that matters (lol). I will not let race or gender come into play with my future.
